Janice Shelsta

Co-founder

Janice is Hyphen’s technology strategist, and one of the company’s co-founders, where she focuses on  improving the quality and reach of agency services by closing the gap between new technology innovations and public sector organization systems.

Previously, Janice worked as a manager at Vangent Inc. (now GDIT) and as a technical architect at CGI Federal, where she focused on creating Information Management solutions that enabled citizen services. In these roles, she created large-scale, distributed COTS (commercial off the shelf) and SOA-based systems used for managing health records, financial oversight and accountability tracking, and cross-entity data exchange.

Not a stranger to small startups, this is Janice’s third startup venture.

Janice received her B.S. in Computer Engineering from Brown University and her Masters in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.
